What is APPR?
Action Planning for Prevention and Recovery, or APPR, is a self-directed recovery and wellness program that promotes personal awareness, health, and life transformation.
Trained facilitators support individuals in identifying their unique self-help steps, life-skills, and personal strategies for maintaining their recovery.
Though APPR was initially developed for people overcoming mental health and/or substance use disorders, it is equally beneficial for anyone seeking a more manageable life.
At Mental Health America Fredericksburg Region, Joe Stafford volunteers as the facilitator of these sessions. These sessions take place in person at the MHAfred office every Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend these free, drop-in sessions.*
